Overheard in Yoga Class

"Monter le jambon? WTF does ham have to do with wheel pose?!"

"Relacher la nu? Please tell me she means 'release the neck' and not the nude."

"Lever le brasserie?  Not today. I had too many pressions last night."

"Please, make her stop!"

We saw this art installation at the Archeological Museum in Rethymno, Crete. Modern art was displayed throughout the museum next to ancient artifacts, such as bowls, tools, sarcophagi and Greek statues'. There was no title to this piece. The only obvious were the yoga poses and chess board.  If any Wild Dingo readers can take a gander at its meaning, I'd love to read input. I've searched and searched for information on it and came up blank. I really hate not knowing.

  1. Well, I was going to say "it's French" which should be explanation enough, but I see that was in Crete, so I am at a loss.

  2. We suspect HisQueen is correct about India, yoga and chess; it makes a certain sense. Abby's first thought, being a legal beagle, was 'crime scene with red tape.' Jed's first thought was that Chinese legend about how people all over are connected to other people, even people they don't know and will never meet, by a red thread of destiny that can be bent or stretched, but never broken. The red thread is necessary for every connected person's destiny to come out right, and if the thread gets tangled it has to be straightened before the connected people can enjoy the destiny they are fated to have. There's even a new TV series here in the U.S. [Touch on Fox, Thursdays at 9:00 Eastern] based on that legend. Not being yoga-istas, we would never have guessed those were yoga poses if you hadn't told us.
