Pineapple Pie -200/365
Coreopsis a flowering plant in the Asteraceae (daisy) family. Its common names are calliopsis and tickseed. I've also seen this variety named "Cha Cha Cha" or "Pineapple Pie." The species is not native to California but is often found naturalized in the wild. Its flat fruits are small and dry and look like bugs, which is how its common and genus name were derived. Coreopsis are showy flowers used as food for caterpillars and butterflies.
