I think I'm in love. I had to step in about 37,000 donkey apples to get this shot. But look at those ears! Sigh.
I could be wrong but I think the dreadlocks on this donkey make it a Baudet de Poitou, also known as the Poitou Donkey, or the Mammoth Donkey. Originating from western France region, Poitou, this rare, endangered breed is very affectionate.

You DO have an ear fetish, n'est-ce pas? Loki, your ears are perfectly proportioned for your face, just as the lovely donkeys' ears are perfectly proportioned for their faces. Proportion is what matters, not size.
