Apparently, it doesn’t take much for Formosan Mountain Dogs to find Loki on the ‘Net these days. Cosmo is this second to stumble upon the pages of my Formosan Mountain Dog wonder. Cosmo channeled his new Dad, George, to seek out Loki on the Web, so he can reach out and say “Woof” to his home-boy. This handsome fellow was recently rescued from North Shore Animal League in Long Island, New York. Hey Cosmo, this is cosmic. Loki’s mom is a displaced east-coaster, once living in your ‘hood!
Cosmo’s dad George wrote in asking me if I thought Cosmo was a Formosan Mountain dog. I took one look at those ears and said “Um, Duh!” Then I looked a little closer at his ripping muscles and confirmed Formosan Mountain Dog DNA lurking heavily in this hunka'-hunka' burnin' luv.
Cosmo is a cool dude, who digs his crate, likes learning new tricks, loves hammin’ it up with his smarts, enjoys a tumble at the doggie park (hmm, sounds familiar) and just loves to love you baby. He’s so smart that he went straight to George’s wife to butter her up on adoption day. It took all of two seconds for his charm to win their hearts.
Apparently, Cosmo is a bit like Loki: smart, gorgeous but a wee-bit willful. Booo-wahahaha! George, like you, I wasn’t looking for a Formosan Mountain Dog. Loki fell into my lap. Welcome to the Wild Formosan Mountain Dog Ride. Please keep your seat belt buckled and your head and arms inside at all times. You’re in for one hellava white-knuckled ride. But you’ll be grinning from ear-to-ear the entire time. Congratulations on your newest family member!
And if you’re looking to find some more Formosan Mountain Dog action on the web, check out Sugar’s blog. I hear she’s hell-on-wheels. Hmmm. I think I see a trend here.

"Your project is guaranteed to meet superior Siberian standards or I will fatally masticate it. You have my "woo" on that!"
"I keep your project safe from crows, coyotes, and flies. I prefer to be paid in salmon treats and tennis balls."
