And Then There Were Three

And Then There Were Three

I found this photo that Mr. Wild Dingo took while he was home for three weeks over the winter holidays. He spoiled the dogs with attention and broke all the household rules.  He walked with us every day and got a real appreciation of the work that's truly required for these two. And now I have a husband that is much more attentive to domestic duties around the house. Snaps for me. But I really miss our family walks.

  1. Beautiful photograph. My husband doesn't walk with us because he has very bad arthritis in his knee and ankle from a motorcycle accident 100 years ago. One day he walked Gizmo down the street to visit a friend. Gizmo would ONLY walk on my husband's left side in a heel. It took my husband a while to figure out that that's because that's what Gizmo was TRAINED TO DO, THANK YOU!! But he was duly impressed! And I had that feeling that he had some appreciation of all the work that I'd put into the boys. Ruby just gets away with murder because she's so darned cute...

  2. I'm trying to break hubby back into walking dogs every day! You'd think I was killing him! I think you should just come over here for a month or so and train hubby and cracker dog both for me!

  3. You get to walk in the most picturesque places! Training a hubby re: dogs goes along with training the dogs - ya just have to do it!

I know how you feel about missing family walks - my hubby stopped walking with us a couple years ago (bad knee). He occasionally goes to the beach with us, but the walks are short. BUT he's getting a knee replacement in a few months and maybe he'll eventually be able to join us for longer walks.

  4. Hope it lasts 🙂 Try to give him lots of opportunities to practice - evenings, weekends, etc. We're sure Loki & Juno love the added attention and interaction.

  5. It is sad when your husband works all the time. 🙁 I definitely do not miss that at all. With him in school now I'm getting to spend more time with him now than I did the entire time we were dating and engaged lol.
